Description

Intel Core i3-10105 is a desktop processor with 4 cores, launching in March 2021. It is part of the Core i3 family, using Comet Lake architecture with Socket 1200. Thanks to Intel Hyper-Threading, the number of cores is effectively doubled, to 8 threads. The Core i3-10105 has 6MB of L3 cache and operates at 3.7GHz by default, but can be boosted up to 4.4GHz, depending on the workload.

Intel is manufacturing Core i3-10105 on 14 nm production node, transistor count unknown. The multiplier is locked on the Core i3-10105, which limits its overclocking capabilities.

With a TDP of 65 W, the Core i3-10105 consumes typical wattage for a modern PC. Intel processors support DDR4 memory with an advertisement channel interface. The highest officially supported memory speed is 2666 MHz, but with overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher. To communicate with other components in the machine, Core i3-10105 uses PCI-Express Gen 3 connection. This processor has integrated graphics solution UHD Graphics 630.

Hardware virtualization is available on the Core i3-10105, which greatly improves virtual machine performance. In addition, IOMMU (PCI pass-through) virtualization is supported so that guest VMs can use the host hardware directly. Programs using Advanced Vector Extensions (AVX) can run on this processor, increasing performance for compute-intensive applications. Besides AVX, Intel also includes the newer AVX2 standard, but not AVX-512.
